Donald Tweedie died peacefully June 10 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley with his daughters by his side.
Don was one of the original GCCLC coordinators. He contributed to the first set of manuals we wrote, taught basic classes as well as presenting several workshops and UG topics.
It was wonderful to see Don and his buddies "playing" on the computers in the center, sharing new tricks and tips they had discovered or brainstorming about how to solve a tech challenge.
GCCLC and fellow volunteers have been enriched by Don's enthusiasm and commitment to our program. He was an inspiration to continue to learn and share at any age!
You can read more about Don in this excerpt from one of our archived newsletters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center in Grass Valley .
